A graduate of the Juilliard School where she pursued her Bachelor and Master’s degrees, Elise Goodman has been committed to teaching students from throughout the Conejo Valley and surrounding areas for more than a decade. Devoted to the nurturance of the next generation of talent, she is able to adapt her teaching to the age, level and personality of each student.

Her combination of musical knowledge and compassionate understanding has enabled her students to garner accolades of their own from various distinguished programs including the ASTA-CAP and Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) Certificate of Merit Evaluations and winning  prizes in competitions including the International Colibri Competition, the Henry Schwab Violin and Viola Competition, the Southern California Junior Bach Festival, the CHICO Young Artists Competition, the MTAC VOCE Competition and the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic Auditions. Ms. Goodman’s students have performed as soloists with the San Fernando Valley Symphony, the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic, and the Channel Islands Symphony Orchestra.

Her studio is also well represented in leadership positions in orchestras throughout the Conejo and San Fernando Valleys. Ms. Goodman’s students have partaken extensively in chamber music through Junior Chamber Music, the Conejo branch of which she directed for five years. Her students and coached groups have been invited to participate in the biannual international tours with JCM to Vienna and South Korea.  Ms. Goodman also directs the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic’s Appassionata Strings Program which presents  master classes and recital opportunities throughout the year. During the summer, she is on the faculty of the Montecito International Music Festival.

Ms. Goodman currently teaches violin lessons in Oak Park, CA to students from Oak Park, Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, Calabasas, Newbury Park, Camarillo, Moorpark and beyond through FaceTime and Zoom.
